Sick or Sorry

Well Michael Jackson is, again, being accused of sexually assualting a young boy. The first time he was accused back in 1997, the parents of the boy settle for a sum of $25 million. Which, if you think about it, is no where enough IF he did molest the boy. But is a considerable amount IF he didn't.

My wife and I were chatting about this during our drive into work this morning.

Think about this for a second. What IF Michael Jackson is innocent? What IF all of this is orchestrated by scrupulous individuals looking to get rich? If so, these people are getting rich and they are taking down an individual who, at the high-light of his career, was the King of Pop

Now what IF he is guilty? What IF you believed he was guilty after the first offense? Would you, being a parent, let your kid sleep over? What are these parents thinking? Maybe we should be putting these parents on trial for being stupid?

I'm a father and I would never let my daughter sleep over at a strangers house. And, have no doubt that to these parents, Michael Jackson is a stranger. So why let your kids sleep over at his house? Why let your kids sleep over at the house of an accused child molester?

Maybe we need to take a closer look at the parents.

Strange

I was signing the receipt for my credit card purchase when the clerk noticed I had never signed my name on the back of the credit card. She informed me that she could not complete the transaction unless the card was signed. When I asked why, she explained that it was necessary to compare the signature I had just signed on the receipt. So I signed the credit card in front of her. She carefully compared the signature to the one I had just signed on the receipt. As luck would have it, they matched. Whew.
